On display Friday night of Everett, WA and on Showtime are two of the best in female MMA (11 p.m. ET/PT). Sarah Kaufman defends her title of 135-pound against Roxanne Modafferi. Kaufman (11-0) is a slugger with eight arrests over his record while Modafferi (15-5) will always fight to the ground. There was a small controversy this week when blogged Kaufmann, that you don't like being the cards Strikeforce Challenger. She sees this card as less than many of the regular cards that airs ShowTime Strikeforce.
Sergio Not from USA today broke down the fight:
Even though she has no knockout punch power-one, you can explode with flurries to head that often leaves opponents reeling."I really believe that there's something very primal about it," Kaufman says USA today in February before the fight Hashi. "Is so technical. There are many different facets to it."As Hashi and most other top-ranked female combatants, Modafferi (15-5) has a penchant for bases instead of boxing and kickboxing. most of its victories saw her take down opponents before their battering on mat or catch them with submission holds. "I don't like stand-up, to be honest, "says Modafferi."But was my weak point, and I worked really hard to it".
In the main event, is a battle of heavyweights like Shane Del Rosario butts heads with Lolohea Mahé. Del Rosario was often said as a future opponent for Bobby Lashley. instead, Lashley is fighting Griggs Chad next month in Houston.
