Japanese Fighters make waves at UFC on versus 2

The rap on Japanese fighters is in hometown promotions as DREAM and Sengoku, but when forced to fight in a cage in the u.s., they buckle. A Japanese fighter has never held a title from UFC belt or WEC. Before his Strikeforce title bout with Gilbert Melendez, lightweight Shinya Aoki said that if he lost, MMA in Japan would be above. Well, he lost.

Someone doesn't say that in Henderson and Takanori Gomi.

Both fighters won handily UFC on versus 2.If Gomi said that "he learned American fight" he won with the return to hit his bread and butter. Okami did with defence takedown textbooks. Its proliferation — Deinterlaces down with hips flexible — was good enough to stop a wrestler collegiate elite in Mark Munoz.

Now, Okami can get the shot to be the first military to win a Championship UFC.UFC President Dana White said last week that a victory could put Okami online for a blow to the middle belt.By mmajunkie.com:

"Winning this fight would be great," said White. "I say this all the time, you know, Henderson is one of the best 185-pounders worldwide and has been for a while. this guy's due for a title shot. "

Apparently, Japanese MMA is far from over. it seems as if you are just getting warmed up.
