Do you think you're a fan of big fight? Could get smoked in a conversation with Mike Tyson. Former heavyweight boxing champ loves his sport and is fast becoming a big fan of mixed martial arts. For him, the fight Randy Couture-James Toney is right up his alley.

"I want to see this fight. Toney boy crazy," said Tyson. "Is a guy really dark, kinda crazy ".

If Toney WINS at 118 UFC, Tyson was interested in seeing if the UFC would be Book Brock Lesnar vs. the big boxing.

Tyson follows sport quite closely. last month, said ESPNRadio1100 in Las Vegas that his favorite hunting is Fedor Emelianenko. He also has a lot of admiration for Lesnar, after the first round by beating took against Shane Carwin at 116 UFC.

History of steroids Carwin still escape the spotlight

The media around UFC 118 is wrapped in event and struggles but there's a pretty big story brewing in the background. Was less than two weeks ago that Shane Carwin was appointed by a Federal Prosecutor as a customer of a pharmacist steroid-treated. Carwin chose to stay mum on the topic and UFC Dana White do not feel comfortable about without more facts.

"I don't know enough about it to go into it in depth," White said Ariel Helwani of FanHouse. "But, I know that he came as a list of type BALCO. On a list of guys who did it.But, [Carwin] this guy fought in UFC a long time, pursuant to regulation and never has tested positive for anything. we will see how it runs throughout this thing. "

Dave Meltzer of Yahoo says using the recent results of tests, to give athletes accused of using steroids, a step more, don't wash.

The current test system means nothing in most States and Member States like Nevada where is legitimate, you know still well ahead of time on the day that are being tested. have the power to test it out of season, but rarely is done, and if you're not a teenager top headliner a show in the next two months, there is no fear of this happening. California was very real before, but when you go from people tests almost every weekend to anyone in the absence of evidence for months, or all about at a time or something has changed.

Meltzer wrote in Pro Wrestling Observer that he has always had suspicions about Carwin (pictured when he signed initially with the UFC in early 2008).

When I met (Shane Carwin) in 2006, was 289 ripped, and when I asked him if he could cut to 265 (weights would need to be for UFC), he laughed and said there was no way he could. Two years later, he was in UFC and fight to 254 without physically cutting and that seemed like a completely different person.

Meltzer said fighters believe that many of the major competitors in the sport are using some of the species of drugs to improve performance.

My feeling to speak with someone directly distributed is that people who say all, or 90% of the best fighters are on them are people who pay their own insecurities and justifying the use.

That said, the percentage is significant. Dennis Hallman was on Inside MMA (video-mark 38: 00) a couple of weeks ago and said it was no less than 50%.When going through to a gym prominent fighters from someone I knew, would surprise the other person, he has to right to 50 percent and once again, some who did and not from the SharePoint list.

Meltzer thinks who says steroid or make the PED little difference is being silly.

But the point is, steroids change the game (a fighter who has observed that asked about craftsmanship to me on some opponents that he is trained with both on and off and cited a guy like almost a world beater on when he trained with him and was ' nothing ' out and talked to be really scared of another fighter-keep in mind that this was in a drug-untested environment--which was actually legendary and very dangerous striker to any weight, and which had in a very short period of time had suddenly wrapped on 20 extra pounds of muscle and completely changed her body.

We're not going to ever get the resolution on history Carwin. He'll return, resolve it quickly and the story will get buried just as with James Toney, who fights on paper this weekend. Toney tested positive after his victory over John Ruiz back in 2005 and served a suspension of 90 days. most MMA fans have no idea of the history of Toney with the PED.

Hopefully along the way, more comprehensive test for steroids and HGH (that means all on paper) will be implemented and concerns, who is and who is not, you will be alleviated. It has certainly made a difference in baseball. La casa di 50 run, 145 RBI seasons have been replaced by much 70 's as HR 32, 110 RBI seasons. must be improved pitching, right? Baseball finally established the real test and next is a reliable test for HGH. MMA and boxing are to follow their example.

Sounds like Strikeforce has some doubts about Bobby Lashley

It wasn't a big night for Bobby Lashley. Once again, he looked one-dimensional in its fight against Griggs Chad. Suffered a nasty cut below his left eye which hasn't exactly motivate him to fight harder. Lashley gassed also out to half in the second round. Worst of all, has its first loss MMA was a guy nobody thought had a chance. After the performance, it will be pretty hard to sell Lashley in a fight against an opponent of big name. He also played like Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker was going to need some convincing.

"We will be able to talk to Bobby later. You know that he is going to do some soul searching and really decide what do you want to do, "said Coker."But if he decides to fight, we will have him back. "

The MMA blogosphere reacted strongly to that statement. Was an overreaction by pundits MMA? We're not sure.It was a bold statement from Coker on a guy who had just lost his first battle.Lashley, 34, is still a good prospect but has clearly things that he needs to work on. Certainly this does not mean that his career is no future. especially if we discover that he was dealing with a serious ailment in or during the fight.

Coker explained his position on nation MMA radio show of WJFK (mark 5: 25).

"Mixed martial arts is sport where sometimes you're going to get hit, you're going to get hurt. not like pro wrestling," said Coker. "How is working his way he is going to get to a point where it says ' is this something that I want to do? 'You work your way and now you get a real clear picture of what is mixed martial arts and want to work through it and continue, or want to do something else? "

Coker may have questions about dedication of Lashley but he knows one thing, the hype machine Lashley must slow down.

"The thing that is not right for Bobby is that he has all these high expectations from all these people," Coker said host Luke Thomas."People think you should be right in there with Fedor. I mean come on, let's be real, he is not at that level right now."

The torch PW reported on what has forced Lashley to the hospital after the fight.

Lashley was said to be "very dehydrated" after his fight against Chad Griggs on paper "Showtime: Houston" fight. hospital, Lashley was treated with multiple IV bags for fluid pump Back in his system.

Coker said he believes still Lashley would continue his career MMA but was evasive on a struggle against fellow pro wrestler Dave Batista. Coker said on nation MMA that Anderson had already reached at Strikeforce and wants to fight immediately.

Making his pro debut, Ryan Couture attempts to emulate his favorite hunting

He is certainly no Fishburne Montana. Thank God for this. Ryan Couture, son of Randy, one of the most famous mixed martial artists in the history of sport, was willing to take things slowly. While daughter Laurence Fishburne is in porn "accelerate" his rise to stardom, Couture trained hard and stayed under the radar, every four months of fighting or so away at amateur level. If there was a amateur in the late 1990s, is probably the way that his father would've gone about things when he was doing his transition from amateur fighter pro wrestler.

The hard work was put and Team Couture thinks time time for Ryan to make a run to your career. He makes his debut Friday evening at Strikeforce Challenger 10 Arizona. Couture, 27, is facing in answering critics who say that non-combatant should get a chance to make their debut pro on Showtime.

"I think the cause of my surname and ticket sales, is absolutely" Couture [said SB Nation Arizona] Wednesday during a session of preseason training combat.

"It's not like I've paid my dues as a pro and have a resume pro solid to justify me put on the main map. business is one thing and the name gets a lot of attention. At this point it's just a fact of life. We are going to be people who are on this bitter and hold that against me, but there's nothing I can do. "

If he feels a ton of pressure, you can't blame the Couture. After all, his father a former UFC champ in two divisions and helped building sport. But the young Couture is too to Earth to get bogged down by inheritance from his father. Couture said IFight365 .com:

"Being who I am, I feel like a lot of attention, but the additional pressure of only that I feel that is the kind that I put on myself from trying to run at the level that I know that I can get. We are going to be very few people who have the kind of impact on sport that my father, so thought will amount that would be unrealistic. So I'm just trying to do everything they can to make sure you perform to the best of my ability. The rest will take care of itself. "

He says he's the son of a legend and one of the strongest guys in the world of sport can only be regarded as a positive.

"Should have been a fool to think entry into this sport that others wouldn't focus on who is my father. But I accepted it and embrace it.Really, I couldn't spend time talking about a better person.I'm pretty sure he would be my favorite fighter, even if he wasn't a blood relative. "

Couture manages the father's gym Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas. is also where he trains with lightweights as Tyson Griffin and guru of the father as grappling coach Neil Melanson and hitting coach Tim Lane. During his five fights amateur, he is looked more comfortable on the ground. He is fairly humble about her abilities and SA has along the way to go.

"All my successes have come through the presentation, so he would have had to go with that. But I feel like I am rather dangerous worldwide. My wrestling not s where it should be yet, so there are a lot of guys who are going to beat me vi. But with my presentation decent and game amazing, I feel like if you make up for that."

Couture faces 20-year-old Lucas Stark.

Lauzon appreciated the long layoff between struggles

As Joe Lauzon fought Sam Stout to 108 CFU, I remember thinking, "Lauzon don't look as himself." He was returning from a knee injury and a dismissal of 10 months, but it has not yet explain why Lauzon looked so her lifeless in the decision, which has lost.

Lauzon says that the knee was partially blamed. He told the Boston Herald:

'Re Mo ' says that he is the favorite underdog tonight as close as 5-a-1

Muhammed Lawal is a confident guy, but he is enabled by the approach of Lou Holtz to speak up to his battles. "King Mo" think rankings are nonsense, and so is the preferred/underdog label. The prospect of heavy light knows that any given night, a strong opponent can take him. Just like Holtz used to speak of "dangerous" Notre Dame matchups against the likes of Marina and Stanford, King MO is distrustful of Rafael Cavalcante.

"I just fighting for two years," said the King mo "there is no pressure on me any. If there is pressure on anyone is Propiedades. He has the name. He was the fight more and he was more training. I remember watching Propiedades mashing only people in LFS. I think people I watch as having the name bigger, but I don't care.I think he is the favorite. I am the underdog even though I'm the champion ".

Penn says officials are clueless; ears ringing Bellator judges?

A sport Is still very young and as other competitions that are judged, mixed martial arts is going through some growing pains. There is a clear picture of what scores in the minds of the judges. B.j. Penn is still steaming on its unanimous decision in loss to Frank Edgar back to 112 UFC. He gets his chance at revenge next weekend in Boston and has no plans to leave it for the judges to decide his fate.

"The judges, as everyone knows, you don't know what they are doing," Penn said."I don't think anyone should get any points for any of the positions stapling. is all about your attempts to damage and submissions, that is the only thing that should Matter in the struggle."

So essentially Penn Takedown to be minimally wants a scored.Unless the fighter by scoring the takedown damage down on the ground or aggressively pursuing a finishers, the takedown should mean little. I tend to agree. Perhaps the judges scoring one heavyweight fights to 25 Bellator Thursday night, he got wind of critical Penn.

Scott Barrett, a former College wrestler, put Damian Grabowski on his back for most of the first and second rounds. But when he was there only looked at improving Barrett and then maintain the position. Meanwhile, Grabowski was very busy lemur nailing Barrett with dozens of punches.Color entry Bellator Jimmy Smith was 2-0 for Barrett going to third. He was wrong.

After Grabowski dominated the final round, the judges has surprised the announcers calling it 30-27 for the Polo. looking upset on his face, Barrett turned almost wondering if the ring announcer Mike Williams had read the name wrong. No, it was corrected. Grabowski moved to heavyweight tournament Bellator and rightly so. judges have done a good job to resist the temptation to score based only on which fighter had control over when the fight has hit the deck.

Now back down to "minor" ones, Buentello faces another guy who is trying to recapture the results of its first in former UFC champion Tim Sylvia. Both big men are treated with the same problems of motivation and management of fighting mentally. "I never realized how behind are mentally in this fighting game," said fighthubtv.com Buentello (mark 2: 31). "My heart, I have the skills, but only that something just to check my mind over my body. Because once my body gets tired, don't check just my mind what my body wants to do. enters the cardio and stop."

Buentello (28-12, 3-3 UFC) meets Sylvia (26-6, 4-10 UFC) Saturday night in the main event of the "War on land" in Irvine, California.

He got out of his deal with Strikeforce and after three years of absence from the UFC was brought him back. But the 36-year-old failed to seize the opportunity. He gassed in a slugfest against Stefan Struve UFC 107 and then mentally broken a loss against Cheick Kongo in March at UFC on versus 1.Shortly after, he was dumped by promotion. behold, when gentlemen fighter and trainer, Antonio McKee intervened. actually, has done more than step. He has pressed Buentello and its management to allow him to try to correct the slugger 250-pound.

"He was telling my manager, which I am just a fart mental away from being on top, again," said Buentello.

It comes to playing to its strengths.

"Hit me very hard and are fast to my size," said Buentello. "If you let go of my hands, anything is possible. And that is the problem that I had the last couple of fights, not going in there with the mental hardness ".

McKee, who works out of The Body Shop in Lakewood, California, agrees that it's all in your head of Buentello.

"If Paul goes out there and hesitates, could be a short night for Paul McKee," said. "But I don't see [Sylvia] knocking out Paul. Paul has a Chin hard, he hits hard and I wouldn't be surprised if he knocked Tim with a jab ".

That is probably a stroke but Buentello have the advantage of speed. frankly, who knows what kind of shape Sylvia will. Last fought and won against World champ Strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski. Few fights before they suffered losses fast Ray Mercer and Fedor Emelianenko.
